Univ of CO Announces Annual Award Winners

The University of Colorado Technology Transfer Office presented its eighth annual awards to CU researchers and companies working on the development of treatments for inflectious diseases, programs to help recovering trauma victims, human eyecare, human medical devices and children's literacy. Dr. Charles Benight (click here for more info) was awarded New Inventor of the Year, CU-Colorado Springs. Dr. Benight is the President of Blue Sun, Inc., a Colorado Springs Tchnology Incubator client.
BlueSun "promotes human resilience following trauma" -- the first and only web-based trauma recovery program that both motivates and empowers individuals to guide their own recovery. BlueSun, Inc. strives to improve human wellbeing by creating evidence-based products that empower individuals, families, organizations, and communities to overcome the effects of traumatic events. Behavioral health products are developed at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
